Honor "Little You" with Silk Embroidery

Remember "Little You"? That young girl who reveled in the amazement of life, fantasized about magical places and dreamed big about her future? She is responsible for your creativity, your fantasy and your playfulness. Too often we speak badly to her. After all, she's the one who got us into trouble. The one who designed our disempowering habits; who formed negative beliefs about ourselves, our lives, our universe...

This Fearless Challenge is an opportunity to reconnect with "Little You" in a loving way. To thank your younger self for all that she gives to you and to remind you that she is with you today, hearing every negative word and every critical statement that you think and say.

Lisa Huening will guide you to:

• Transfer a picture of a Little You onto silk.
• Embroider your silk photo with a garden of silk ribbon flowers.

You will receive a kit to complete the project including an embroidery mounting board.

This beautiful embroidery technique is easier than you think, even if you have never done any handwork. Silk Ribbon Embroidery is a forgiving embroidery technique. It isn’t supposed to be perfect. Just as nature’s imperfections are what creates the beauty.

As with any of our art Fearless Challenges, this workshop may trigger you. Susan Liddy will coach you through:

• Limiting your negative self talk
• Releasing your expectations
• Breathing through...

Preparation for attendance:

1. Choose a photo (size 3x5 or 4x6) from when you were young to serve as a reminder of that little spirit inside who wants love, encouragement, and understanding.
2. The best photos for the silk transfer have minimal background details.
3. Later you will put it in your own 5x7 frame.
4. Remember the focus is about you.

$30, includes embroidery kit (just bring your photo).
