Hello Aspiring women and a happy September you all.

Have you ever had a moment in your relationships, be it with your partner, a family member or even a friend or co-worker, where you have challenging communications?

A good question to ask is; what enables us to engage in these discussions? At times, all this takes is patience. Patience to give ourselves the breathing space to understand and to gather essential information to move through it in a more casual manner. After all, good communication usually happens when we are more centered in our lives and connected with our inner knowing. These days, when times are more stressful and people want results more instantaneously, it’s not always easy to cultivate that time. Too often we find ourselves shouting out our desires and irritations, causing more harm than good, well before realizing a better route to truly understanding our needs, or the needs of others.

With this said, hopefully you will find in this month’s featured article on "Honor Talks," a more advantageous and healthy way to help communicate who you are and what you need, and in the process, to be mindful of the needs of others.

Thank you for taking the time to read and for being part of the encouragement that allows us to continue to empower so many Aspiring women.

Aspiring fearlessly,

Susan and Laura

Coaching Tip to Help See Life's Bigger Picture

Are you a “black and white” thinker? Do you experience life in extremes of things being either one way or another; bad or good, weak or strong, wrong or right? If one thing goes wrong does it ruin everything? If you feel that if you’re not perfect than you are a complete failure? How often do you use words like: always, never or impossible?

Black and white thinking is very common and cultivating the skill of seeing the “gray” is a great way to embrace the flexibility of life. Truth is, life moments are rarely only one way or the other. Things can be both bad AND good, experiences can be both frustrating AND supportive, and people can be both vulnerable AND strong. You can feel feelings of sadness AND know life is good.

Today, try to find the “gray” in situations. Allow yourself to feel ALL of the feelings and consider the many perspectives and possibilities related to your experiences. Practicing this type of thinking and feeling will enable you to tap into the bigger picture of life and experience life from a fuller and richer place.

Honor Talks

By Susan Liddy

What's your relating style? Are you bold and outspoken? Quick to defend your position and maybe even criticize a little bit? Or, are you the easygoing Pollyanna who puts on a happy face... avoids bringing up the "uglies" in your relationship because conflict makes you uncomfortable?
